Dog Person Poem by Bruno Bloodsworth

Dog Person

I saw a man with his tongue hanging out like a dog.
He was barking like one too, pitched high.
He was on all fours with his arms and legs raised to the sky.

He was naked as a baby and his skin was red like one too.
I saw him running around in circles, barking and growling as if he went through a terrible sickness.

His neck was bitten completely off, crushed by the boulders.
Leaving him looking as if his head was just an ornament on his shoulders.
