Winter Depression Poem by Bruno Bloodsworth

Winter Depression

In the cold of winter
Darkness falls hard and cruel.
No words stood, no words full
No warmth at all, nothing is beautiful.

The snow has made everything still
So that even the wind has fell silent.
The trees stand like hollow shells
Their limbs bare and bereft of life.

In the winter darkness
A crime scene lies frozen in time.
Blood and footprints in the snow
Betray the length of what has happened here.

Without the warmth of sunshine, winter creates depression. Top score.

A lovely poem. So true, in winter everything seems frozen in time. No warmth, only stillness, darkness and limbs bereft of any vitality.
