Doggy Job Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Doggy Job

Doggy job

Came news everywhere:
"There has been a mean theft
The van of dog-walker! "

Inside it sixteen dogs
The person went to come
Returning in one by one
When came back saw no car
The van was stolen
Driven to unknown.

But by who?
Where to?
Why?

I do not have a pet
Any kind; am against
So had to look in time
Relations with my dog
And my lambs, hens
And rest like donkey…

Dog led me to school
On return was waiting
And when was pregnant
Had hardship, I helped her
I became her doctor
Gynaecologist in labour…
I also recalled the
Shepherds' dogs in village
One of them Seyed Hashim's
We ran if it was there!

But today, everywhere
In the lifts and hallways
On the roads and roadsides
On the arms and in parks
Everywhere I see dogs
The love that once was ours
Is now there for the dogs
Pity for the mankind that is lost?
