Dogs That Nobody Would Catch ------------------ -------------------- Poem by A NAZAR

Dogs That Nobody Would Catch ------------------ --------------------

dogs that nobody would catch

------------------
--------------------

dog catchers
will not come
sure
to hook:

those whose spines bent like sickles

those with flutes attached to their tails

aroma in the nose,
no need to bum and sniff

fancy bells in the neck
tongue 'tied'
(the silent ones)

both ears
wagging
but
listening pleasure
lost for ever

under the white skin
sweat glands
still unravished

forgot how to bite and tear
bone into pieces.
(by birth
worn out and stale)

swallow
only morsels
left over by others
with a prickly contortion in the throat

In the respiratory tract
thickened
obsequiousness
prevent to bark

not crazy at all
Just gentleness
in the eyes

for a few spotty ones
calculations
to escape
are always in vain

their barking
heard at distances
make
dog catchers
sleepless

then the wire will tighten
with the syringe too.

festive arrival!
on the way back
the car is full
must have been sedated
and the crazy ones
scratch a lot

and those who are about to shake and wake
sent to the world of
their unfulfilled dreams
immediately.

thers are simply
castrated.
That's all.
