Rejected Drop
------------------
By A. NAZAR

A drop of tear escaped
My eyes yesterday
It fell on a petal of rose
The petal withered quietly
And fell on a touch -me- not
The plant blinked and turned blind.
A wisp of wind carried the petal
And dropped it into the stream nearby.
The stream led it to the sea.
The sea then tasted the petal
And whispered:
What a salty petal it is!

The waves ejected it back ashore.
There I found it again.
The single drop of my tear
Still glued onto the wilted petal!
(Of course I could feel it)
I picked it up.
And grieved.:
Why is there no one
To heed my weep?

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Even the waves of the sea, the waters of Styx reject the petal tainted with the salt of life. Such is the world. Nobody has the mind to kiss our tears. Everyone has become so self-centred… Top score

Beautiful imagery poem. This world don't has the time to embrace the tears we shed. Run to the one and only Almighty who values every tear we shed
