Doing, For She Poem by Jodie Louise Pollock

Doing, For She

Rating: 4.0

Comforting her in complete silence,
Saying all the right words through silent lips,

Holding her close through that firm brick wall,
Soothing her pain with each unfelt touch,

Feeling her body shake while she sleeps,
Awakening her dreams knowing they are dreadful,

Willing her to try anything she’s willing,
Doing things instinctively and without her permission,

Trying to love her behind her fake mask,
Helping her. Even though she never asked.
