Don Bigley Poem by John Shea

Don Bigley

I miss you my friend
You left so quickly
My life is fine
Your family too
Why you left is a mystery
But so is life
Your sons and daughters
Are fine as you journey with god
I see the turkeys early in spring
You feeding the sparrows who feed
On the muffins offered by blueberry seed
I see you fishing down at the shore
Cleaning your catch
And asking for more.
Please send us a sign
That you are fine
You are missed by the children
I saw teardrops fall
He remembered a silver dollar
And a teardrop fell on his cheek
Everyone misses you
Its not the same
You are the man whose life is but fame.
