Don'T Ask Me - Poem by Stuart Doggett

This hollow sinking feeling,
This painful numbing fog,
I don’t know what I’m doing,
The numbers are out of control,
People voices blurring,
I feel so fucking useless,
Just sitting here and waiting,
Fighting to retain awareness.

I have no idea,
Please don’t ask me.
I have no idea,
Please don’t ask me.

Living in confusion,
Can someone please explain?
Dispel procrastination,
Help me understand,
Brain, resist temptation,
My mind is wandering,
I know what wants attention
And it’s really not helping.

I have no idea,
Please don’t ask me.
I have no idea,
Please don’t ask me.
