Don'T Be Cold Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Don'T Be Cold

yeah... when I seen you, i wanted you in my life
but you were so guarded and didn't treat me right
Tried to thaw your heart, it's just as cold as ice

At first things were cool then you had a change of attitude
when I've been nothing but good to you
what I showed you was a little bit of respect
my heart has felt a terrible state of neglect
I thought the world of you just to be brought down
took what you said to heart when I've been clowned
I wanted you to be my queen until i seen a side so mean
put the bullet to my heart fired and flee from the scene

Don't be cold
Cause i wouldn't act that way twards you
I don't know
the reason why you give so much attitude

What happened to you?
This can't be who
You really are underneath and if it's true
I gave you my heart, you gave me your mind
The way things have gone had given me signs
Up for the challenge, I want you bad
cause maybe one day you will come around
and realize what you could have
I want you more than eyes could see
but your mouth is so ill, you go in for the kill
Who have hurt you? how can I mend your heart?
seems like you aint't even willing
to make a change to be better
with that bad attitude no ones gone want you
Now I understand you can't be tamed
and to you this is all a sick game
wish things were different
but your mouth is so nasty
Can't bear to deal with you again
cus you're just too ghastly
