Don'T Close Your Eyes Poem by allen wilbert

Don'T Close Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Don't close your eyes,
evil is lurking wearing a brilliant disguise.
Its not Freddy or the Boogie Man,
he offers death in an installment plan.
When you go to bed or take a nap,
he closes in on your life line gap.
Knows you stole money from moms purse,
this is no hex or any removable curse.
Knows every lie you ever told,
every broken item you ever sold.
Knows every time you ever cheated,
every person you ever mistreated.
Don't close your eyes,
all your fears he makes you realize.
While you sleep he just stares,
your good and bad deeds, he compares.
If its your time, do not go to bed,
or you just might wake up dead.
Wake up, don't go to sleep,
on neighbors you like to peep.
Slacking off at your job,
slowly becoming a useless slob.
This is someone you must fear,
the consequences will be severe.
Keep your eyes wide open,
you can't fix what is already broken.
Who you ask is this creature so obnoxious,
well duh, its your very own conscience.
