Don'T Cry
when everyone leaves
for somewhere else
and for something for someone
other than you
give in,
don't look forward to something
illusive
root yourself to the weight of your feet
look down
the most important part of the soles of
your feet
hold the sands of your imperfections
watch them all slip away
and then just savor the emptiness
left behind
by the trails of mercies.
