Don'T Cry Poem by Iris Pan

Don'T Cry

I watch as you cry, standing in the rain,
I don't know why, but it opens a window of pain,
I didn't care, I didn't know, I refused to think of tomorrow.
Until one day, when you had to go

I watch and watch, watching you turn away,
I lived up to so long, until this May,
I waited and I wondered and thought to this day,
"Where did you go yesterday? "

I sat by my window, year after year
My parents watching my though tears,
I waited and waited, slowing starting to die
My last thought, "Please, please, don't cry."
