Don'T Doubt Me. Poem by Miranda Lucas

Don'T Doubt Me.

I've been trying too hard for too long,
Trying to fix things that are far too gone.

You hear the song and you know it,
Life is anything but perfect.

Try to change the world.
Try to make it your world.

Things aren't going to change,
Unless you start with yourself.
Start crying out for help.

But, then you'll find that people aren't so nice.
And through all your pain and strife,
They'll throw it in your face.
And say 'you'll never leave this place'.

You'll never be successful,
And you'll never reach your dreams.

Cause if you're like me, with ideas bursting from the seams.
Of my mind.
What's wrong?
Nothing, I'm fine.

Don't try to hold me back,
And tell me what I lack.

I'll shove it in your face,
Make sure you get a taste.

But they'll see.
And they'll be.
Begging for more, cause one taste wont cut it.

Cause if you're like me, with ideas bursting from the seams.
Of my mind.
What's wrong?
Nothing, I'm fine.
