Don'T Fall Poem by Heather Burns

Don'T Fall

DON'T.!

fall for an illusion
a poet in disguise
a spider spinning
webs
interlaced with many
lies.

A dreamer of day dreams
he will always be
building sand castles
erected by the sea.

The tide will return
wash them all away
you'll stand on the
beach
lost in the fray.

He will touch your
heart
refuse to let it go
then walk away
leaving it lying in
the snow.
