Don'T Forget To Smell The Roses Poem by Brianna Rollings

Don'T Forget To Smell The Roses

Rating: 5.0

For the last year of my life
I forgot to smell the roses.
My reason for living
just faded into the midst of the rain.
And I haven't been able to remember
all the things i never wanted to forget.
And before I knew it
everything changed,
so fast that i didn't even get a chance
to say goodbye
to all the things I left behind.
And the only thing I wanted
was to hear the song
filled with compassion.
But here I am.
Left with nothing,
besides a subtle noise
from the strumming
of a guitar string,
and the lyrics of a song
that were never meant to be sung.
And I never found out
what he was trying to say.
For the last year of my life
i forgot to smell the roses.
My reason for living
just faded into the midst of the rain.
And I haven't been able to remember
all the things I never wanted to forget.
And before I knew it
everything changed.

Don't forget to smell the roses.
