Only Wanting More Poem by Brianna Rollings

Only Wanting More

Every second of her life
just passes on by
nothing changes,
yet nothing stays the same.
The moments tick away
in silence,
but she's the only one
left to blame,
for the smell still lingering
in the sheets,
and the clothes
still scattered on the floor
leaving her with
NOTHING
but only wanting
MORE.
More than just a night
filled with craziness.
More than just a night
of sin.
Yet in the night
she stays unnoticed,
and in the light
remains unforgiven
for a mere step that was taken,
a simple tear
lost in the rain
created by the loneliness
at the window
and the action brought on
by SHAME.
But the smell still lingers,
and the clothes still lay,
only because his vivid memory
is the one thing
standing in her way.
And the worst thought to ever
cross her mind
was allowing herself to assume
that he would change for this.
But she left her heart
in his bedroom.
