Don'T Shed A Tear

Don't shed a tear, I'm off to war
Yes, it's true, I've never done this before.

Maybe, just a little, deep inside I'm scared
But deep is my need to help the opressed and despaired.

Don't shed a tear I'm not really that far away
It's out of love for God and country that I shall obey.

Take up the battle cry for freedom I roar
Truth, goodness and dignity, I'll work to restore.

I am proud to be a soldier, to do my part
God Bless us one and all, for today we depart.
