Don'T Take For Granted. Poem by Alex Butler

Don'T Take For Granted.

Try as I may, and try as I might.
So godam hard, to hold on and fight.
For the feelings one has, that toy with the mind.
The ones that you have to, dig deep down to find.
It doesn't seem easy, and it doesn't seem fair.
That out of the blue, someone won't be there.
To be your friend, and to hold your hand.
To give you the courage, and the strength to stand.
Up to the demons, who cling on so tight.
To banish them away, clear out of sight.
So don't take for granted, the ones there for you.
Who have been there so long, making sure that you pull through.
