Don`t Believe Your Publicity. Poem by Peter Vealey

Don`t Believe Your Publicity.

Don`t believe your publicity.
Don`t believe your throne.
Don`t believe in the five and dime.
Don`t believe in the manifesto line.
Your publicity is all.
Your publicity is cruel.
Don`t believe in the hand-held hope.
Don`t believe at my time of life,
That I should get a wife.
Don`t believe your publicity.
Don`t believe your notoriety.
Don`t believe in sky-held signs.
Don`t believe in you and me.
Just believe in the tide,
Of the coming of the sea.
Don`t believe on my hand and heart,
That you really want to be free.
Don`t ever believe your publicity.
