The spark is gone, the battery low,
Two drifted hearts, nowhere to go.
The world outside, it rushes past,
We're sitting still, holding
on fast.
No change to find, no charge to glean,
A silent, empty, lonely scene.
But wait, what's this?
A different sound,
Some engines roar, on
solid ground.
We sit in silence, side
by side,
With nowhere left for love
to hide.
The current failed, the
wires crossed,
We count the days and weigh the cost.
The old ways fade, but life moves on,
Like with gas and oil, a brand new dawn.
If electric dreams have lost their might,
There's fuel enough to
bring back light.
So change the tune, adjust the view,
Embrace the old, and welcome new.
The path ahead may twist and bend,
But endless roads will
never end.
No tears for spills, no time
to fret,
Just keep on moving, don't forget.
New ways to run, to play,
to be,
Just look around, and you will see.
