Don't Sing Your Sad Songs For Me Poem by Paul Warren

Don't Sing Your Sad Songs For Me

I heard that you were broken
When I left you and your world was smitten
You did not want me to leave you
And you are now alone to weep too

So please don't sing your sad songs for me
What has happened was meant to be
Time will mend your broken heart
Remember me now we are apart

Feel me close when the sun shines on you
And when you laugh the way that I would too
For our memories can be such happy things
And happiness and laughter should be what they bring.
