Doomed Days - Poem by Bonnetvanture T Asiimwe

In those days
Now seen yonder
Rains stopped showering
Plants pleaded
Remaining leaves on
Leafless stalks
Leaned weakly
In fear of the heaven.
Life’s sap was sipped.

The following day
They all rested
On a dusty floor

Life was gone.
