Double Shame Poem by Haruna Garba

Double Shame

Wife engaged in neighborly chats
Stew in the kitchen smelling fine
Husband back home beat and tired
Took a slice made for the bathroom
Slice from a chicken waiting in vain

Just when he was enjoying the test
The wife broke in with her little slice
Two and two together make four
Here they stood face to face

You? Asked the wife
You too? The husband asked too
You too! You too!
Makes double shame
