Down Again Poem by George Samuel

Down Again

I rode, rolling the mountains downs,
And hoped the greens would speak to me,
The fell towards the fountains, grown,
Farther where the birds couldn't see,
Within time, from the valley to the sea.

I rose early for the day,
The sun couldn't light my way,
To find fortress among the woods,
But the wilds cried out so loud!
Till I grew too restless in their world.

I closed my eyes just to dream,
The moon couldn't let me scream,
With nightmares of fear,
And thoughts of tears,
It was now, I feared another year.

I open my arms to embrace my love,
But the serpent that bite endowed with curves,
Same beauty atract, same that kills,
In a very subtle way and skills,
Only the sweetness of honey you can feel.
