Down The Lane, In The Monsoon Rain Poem by Kavya S Babu

Down The Lane, In The Monsoon Rain

Down the lane, in the monsoon rain
I just floated in the moist air...
Guarded on either side
By the muddy streams; running fast
Devoid of conscience, somewhere
To the unknown destination.
Like the dreams of a human heart
Riding hurriedly without a left or right.
The random mind, which never settles
Enjoys a silent, but vibrant celebration!
He is born, the poet in every human
And the singer in every dumb.
The beauty out of every heart
Is exposed with all it's shine!

Exhaling every pain, enjoying the rain
I am gifted with everything, I longed for.
Bath in a holy river makes no more sense
Just a 'hug of rain' sweeps every sin.
The celebration of divine creations; I title this
The birds, the flowers, the sky and the icy air
Dressed up cool for this nature's party.
Elegant moves by the trees and plants
Throwing flowers at the cheering child.
The shivering shrubs and the swinging stems
A rhythmic whistle from the dreary woods;
A music destined only to them.
The fragrance seems perfectly fresh!
I took a deep breath, eyes closed
After a beat's time, the muscles relaxed
The lashes repelled...The rain is gone!
