Down The Narrow Road Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Down The Narrow Road

Pain
In the disdained rain
That very wetness down the drain
In which one gathers no gain
It's hard really, from it refrain
For only the resilient remain

Dust
Caked into precast
Wall so robust
Like a drug induced mental relapse
More like early winter; wherein the future is already in the past
Frail; youth's decline coming so fast

Lord
Whose work forever so broad
Spread out in hearts and abroad
For few are ready for the narrow road
He as the King's rod
And will reign forever with those he redeemed by His own blood
