Dreaming Poem by Hanif Hassan Barbhuiya

Dreaming

I never heard her walking into my life
As I sat amidst busy wandering around reclined
She came to me with a smile, bearing pleasant hymn
Like a new flower, like a young bird in beautiful early spring
She ran though my soul, played with the dead heart's beats
Like a periwinkle at dawn, I for some reason finally found peace

It can't be true, can't be real
How can luck before me kneel
Wake me up, for I am dreaming
It can't be true, what I am seeing
This feeling, a feeling, this feeling
How can my life, of a sudden have meaning

She spoke to me with a thousand melded notes
Feelings poured within me, as my soul floats
And much it grieved to deepest core of my heart
How could I ever be away, how could I stay apart
She brushed her fingers along my face
Was that the nature's holy plan or some divine grace
I finally got rescued I finally found peace

This can't be real, she can't be true
Must be a prank, life at me threw
Wake me up for I am dreaming
This isn't true, heart's not believing
This feeling, a feeling, this feeling
Yes, my life did finally got a meaning.
