Dreaming Of This Poem by Alyssa Ray

Dreaming Of This

I close my eyes
After I've been told good night
But as I think
What is so good about it?
I peer out the cold window
The stars have no expression
I close my eye again
I held a glass of water in my hand
I wanted to drown my sorrows
My eyes open again
I clutch the glass
Again, My eyes shut gently
Then, I had a dream I was dying
It was the best dream I had ever dreamt
But when I went to open my eyes
I could not
I hadn't noticed how real my dream was
Now, The stars were gone
The glass, broken
My sorrows, gone
This is the best place
I am
As I am secluded to a silence
I can never interrupt
