Dreams Poem by Marea Johnson

Dreams

It was all just a dream,
it will never take form
You're safe in your covers,
all cozy and warm.

You just had a nightmare
and none of it's real
I'll stay by your bedside,
I know how you feel.

It's just an illusion,
a distortion of thought
A piece of confusion
that reality caught.

A subconscious feeling
wanting to make itself known.
Now go back to sleep,
you're no longer alone.
