Dreams Poem by Daisy Pereira

Dreams

On the sun drenched banks
the mermaid reclined
watching the eternity
passing patiently
counting the years forgone

waves shackled like a beast
stormed the shore wailing

the fishermen's huts were lit
in the distant gray

dusk receding
blue diffuses into oblivion
twilight serenity descends

was she sea sick?

in the morning I saw nothing
only the shape of that mermaid
on the sands remained.
Impressions re-tweeted.
