Dreams Poem by patpet Ogechukwu

Dreams

I see the sun
But you light up my life.
My heart you gladdens
And fills my face with smiles.
You are the anchor to my boat
In my ocean of fears.
The hope to my failures
For the clothing of my handwork in beauty.
My yesterday you pierced
And my tomorrow you forged.
You are my adored partner of life
For in creation I was joined with you.
My way you made beautiful
As my heart hugs you every tick tock of time.
In pain you healed me
And in tears you gave me courage.
It seems you betrayed me in the yesterdays we spent together
But am glad our marriage will have a happy ending.
In you is the throne my tomorrow sits on
And in me you live.
I celebrate you at the embrace of each sun rise
For you are my tomorrow’s guardian angel.
So thin you may look,
But you are bigger than the biggest.
The future is so bright,
Because I can see my basket heavily loaded on you.
If only they can have a glimpse of you?
We all will be crazy in laughter.
I can hear you whisper your name,
Oh! Dreams you are called.......
