Dreams - Poem by Shabari Choudhury
My dreams are dreams no more.
Reason has infiltrated, and the dream ink is fading.
I dare not dream again.
Every time I drift off, I slap myself back to reality.
The pen of reason is never without ink.
I keep writing with it but never really feel the words.
I will keep writing with it, never feeling the words.
I will carry on…slapping myself back to reality.
