Expectations 1 - First Time Around - Poem by Shabari Choudhury

My words were finite but the heart held more
So I squeezed it out of every pore, my love for you my darling.

Collecting these precious drops of mine, I thought I would love you till the end of time, just as you would my darling.

So I waited for you to drink, my cocktail of love and thought the heavens would sing, of our love my darling.

But then YOU came crashing in, Poured it within and without a word, you were out of the door.
