Dreams May Come True Poem by Mikki Callow

Dreams May Come True

Love for me is colourless,
It’s not white nor black,
My love for you is wonder less
No need to fight it back.
No need to struggle w/ butterflies
No shivers down my spine,
The only person I have ever loved
And I can’t even call you mine...
My dreams where all a muddle
My life was all distressed,
I could never understand it
But I thought it was just a test
I couldn’t seem to hold myself
Back from getting through,
I let you break my unbroken wall’s
Just to see what I would do
I couldn’t seem to help myself
Don’t even ask me why
Something deep inside me
Said you were the guy
I know deep down that I’ll get hurt
But there is nothing I can do
If nothing good becomes of this
At least I’ll know that dreams come true
