Dreams To Dust Poem by Ari Ryan

Dreams To Dust

A dream is nothing but a human conviction,
Something of which that traps and admires.
You don’t realize what you truly want with your addiction,
Until all you’ve ever wanted soon expires.

All the immortal can surely see,
Why a dream fades between life and death.
You think you have everything and fail to flee,
And you realize it was only but a myth.

Soon it become more than you can handle,
You’re despised and it sinks you under.
Your dream burns like the wick of a candle,
Your life becomes one huge blunder.

Your life drags you down,
You realize that your dream has faded,
Soon your dream turns to a bullet in your crown,
And now your dream has become jaded.

Wonderful, and it has my name in it! ! ! Just take off the d at the end of 'Jaded'

It is a nice poem. Very dark feeling. I think you may try to work on the length of each stanza so they may match. I invite you to give feedback on my poems too.
