Dreamscape Poem by Thomas dockery

Dreamscape

i bow my head and see myself below
in the midst of people who do not know
a dream faded away stuck between tomorrow and today.
will i wake up who can say

skies change their scene floating in my dream
i reach for ground and begin to fly
tired I fall asleep to the ground with a sound
the melody of life soothing to a babies cry

drifting along like a leaf dancing in the wind
curling up to your embrace the feel of skin
behind closed eyes I feel your smile across from mine
we head back to dreams. here the sun isn't ready to shine.
