days spent in the sun so full of laughter and fun
friends all around to pick me up when I fall down

in the midst of people who do not know
a dream faded away stuck between tomorrow and today.
will i wake up who can say

the darkness inside struggles to break free
reaching the surface only through daydreams
as the mind races blind the eyes fall behind
seeing only what the darkness allows to shine
...

alone in the darkness covered in sweat
I raise my head to check the time
sitting up I start to rub my eyes
in blue the clock reads half past nine
...
