Dreamy Filmy

He stood there, hiding behind a high rock.
He heard the raucous laughter erupt,
Gunshots were fired.
The scorching sun burning and making him feel tired.

He dared not peek out.
He could hear words being spoken with contempt.
He could make out a man tied to a pole.
The dacoits like vultures, preyed on his soul.

The voices were loud, but the mountains echoed.
He held onto his Desert Eagle.50 revolver.
His arms were shaking, but his eyes were steady.
He knew what he had to do and he was ready.

"Ye haath mujhe de de Thakur"
At last, a line he could hear.
But the voice sent shivers down his spine.
An equally forceful voice screamed back - "Nahi! "
Again - "Ye haath mujhe de de Thakur."
He broke into a cold sweat.
He crouched down, and slipped away from behind the rock.
He could make out two silhouettes against the sun.
He took aim. The big man had two long pointed swords in his hands,
It reflected the sunshine straight into his eyes. He squinted.
"NAHI! ", this scream was louder, more scared.
And for the final time, the big man,
He recognized as Gabbar, erupted into a cryptic chant,
as he yelled again - "YE HAATH, MUJHE DE DE THAKUR! ! "

Every single goon, holding rifles,
Looked on greedily,
Sadistic pleasure dripping from their outstretched mouths.
While our Hero looked on, caring less about the shouts.

Gabbar raised his hands, high into the hair.
Like a Demon, he looked ready to kill.
The swords aimed right at the shoulders.
He closed his left eye, and fired from behind the boulders! !

Thwack!

The bullet hit Gabbar straight in the forehead.
His hands were still outstretched.
Then, he fell straight back.
He was DEAD! !

The tip of the Desert Eagle was flaming.
He looked back. On a high ledge,
He could see the Gods smiling, They gave me a thumbs up,
" Well done", they seemed to say, " Son, you have been tough".

Amidst everything,
The world of cinema was collapsing.
" He was the real hero", all the critics said,
Because he had changed the greatest Indian film, ever made! !
