Drems Become Nightmares - Poem by joshua sarmento

They think they understand
Laughing at every tear
Not giving a single hand
turning dreams to nightmares
waking in the night sky
next to the moons evil stare
I lost every dream in the stars
looking for just that one
that gives me a smile
i find it knocking on my door
spitting in my face
and throwing me to the floor
