Drifting Poem by Sara Jo Andrews

Drifting

Thoughts drifting,
Words swirling in my head,
Trying to grasp control,
Losing focus on the goal,
Wounds slowly healing,
Life starting to make sense,
My heart finally realizing,
Its true, first, and only love that’ll ever be,
Is right there in plain sight.
Purposes once gone, have meaning now,
Each passing day now worth it.
Seeing the light at the end of the dark tunnel.
Finding my hop, my reason, my rhyme,
No longer scared, no longer lost,
No longer wandering this cold world alone,
Finding passion burning bright,
Arms entangling, heat rising,
Room spinning out of control,
You don’t know what you do to me.
I am so new at this,
I ask of you to teach me please,
Show me what you like,
Tell me what you want,
My desire to please you,
Trying so hard to do right.
