Drifting Apart Poem by Kyle Rowan Van der Ross

Drifting Apart

No longer subjected to the heart's desire
You must have trust issues cause you're calling me a liar.
Looks like the tough got going when the going got tough.
You're everything to me but I'm afraid love's not enough.

Died down like the autumn leaves on the ground.
No love lost. No love found.
Wishing we could go back to the start.
Is it just me, or are we drifting apart?
High thoughts, hate sober feelings and the consequence.
Going back so far I'm ending up at Genesis.

No matter how hard I try, I just can't get outta this.
Only left with memories and moments in which I reminisce.
Season greetings but I ain't got no card.
Is it just me or are we drifting apart?

Feeling so sad that I can't even cry no more.
Please don't say this is over cause I don't wanna die no more.
