Drink Up Poem by Moth Harris

Drink Up

Drink up darling, you know I only care for you
The sky may be white but I am blue
Like the ocean waves, we roll over one another
This isn't a tantrum thrown by your brother

I've tried to explain it, read a page at a time
I've tried to say it, read each poem by the line
What I want you to take from this if nothing at all
Is how much I care about that heart of yours

It's a cold mist, it's an old change
been happening, since the ice age
So drink up while the waters warm honey
Drink up for when it's no longer sunny
