Drive By The Sea Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Drive By The Sea

Sorrento's a coastal town
Beautiful one in southwest Italy
Known for lemons and melons
And other fruits, pizza, and pasta.

Juices're turned into wide
Variety of products we like
Olive trees in large gardens
Oil pressed in many ways.

Food's prepared fresh always
Healthy eating's encouraged
Tourists get several opportunities
To find tasty local food to enjoy.

A lemon garden's well maintained
With frame work built to support trees
Yellow lemons as large as baseballs
Grow on branches all year round.

Drive on the road by the sea's pleasant
On the way we get a glimpse of Pompeii
It reminds us of the great tragedy yet
We feel fortunate to find survival of humanity.
