Driving Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Driving

Driving

I enjoy driving
-it is tour, observing
-and also doing things…

Everyone behind wheel
-is busy with something

Some on phone are texting
-or talking to oneself to eating
-or maybe lost in debts, accounting
-if not staring at mirror for fixing
-hair or lips, or makeup, add cream

Regardless of its kind…
-everyone does something
-outside car or truck, driving…
-but only one is seen
-the concern of police
-the cellphone

With my mind in my eyes; crazy
-today's was scary
-saw the guy nod his head abruptly
-after he saw his bills

He lifted his shades, looked close
-the figures did not change
-angry, spitted from car

I wondered what would do
-if we had accident
-would it be correct to
-shout at him?
-sympathise?
-empathy?

Think are so different
-when I see the girls fix
-eyebrows, hair or cheeks
-and the ones heading home
-exhausted, look-alike of a dead…
