Drunkard Lying On Road Side!
Yonder fellow cries lying on sand,
I am unable to get up and stand,
Who is going to lift me with hand!
Nobody is dared to approach him
He is shouting filthily, O’ it is Him
He is a drunkard lying on road side!
It is a regular sight, outside TASMAC,
Government is not bothered about the health
Of their citizens, interested on revenue wealth!
The Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC)
Is a company owned by The Government of Tamil Nadu.
This has a monopoly over wholesale and retail vending
Of alcoholic beverages in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Alcoholism has become a cult among young men! The working class and the lower group also fall prey to this abominable habit. The Govt. which sees the Beverage Corporations of the state as a source of income to balance the deficit budget gives silent approval for the production and distribution of liquor and the road side scene described is a common sight in Kerala too!
