Due To Climate Change Poem by Francis Duggan

Due to their lust for power the warnings of climate change some Governments ignore
Like 'tis said about much it keeps on wanting more
With our disrespect for our Natural Environment we will seal our own fate
Talks of cutbacks on carbon emissions thirty years too late
For far too many fuel guzzling engines the price will be huge to pay
And far too much burning of fossil fuels in the World of today
By far too much polluting of land, water and air
What we need are more people who are more environmentally aware
On cutbacks of carbon emissions Governments cannot agree
But sad to say for us all they are too unenlightened to see
That climate change affects every race living in every Land
Simple things such as this many don't understand
'Tis true fools rush in where angels fear to tread
And due to climate change for all of us tough times are ahead.
