Dying As Of Self-Slaughter Poem by Justin Houseman

Dying As Of Self-Slaughter

In the wind Cupid's engraving
sections off the heart in advance
with a lead-pipe arrow, but in
the center a chink blocks their
love, tossed to the country glen
for a cow to graze by until I heard
the funeral home say they'd replace
it for me. What happened to the other
marble slab for grandma?
