Each day when I do wake up,
My Memories linger on,
To the pictures of my ancestors,
Who to Heaven they have gone.
LORD, You put thoughts into my Mind,
To remember what they taught me,
How to live my life, and to others be kind,
When in their company.
Each day when I do wake up,
My Mind drifts to YOUR Thoughts,
To ask how I might serve YOU,
Lest my day is filled with nought.
LORD, teach me to fill each day,
To make this a better World,
Let me be free from pain,
As Your Words I convey to the World.
LORD, teach me to gather the Words,
As I plan my daily tasks,
To live each day YOU have given to me,
And to do that which YOU ask.
