My eyes have seen the wonders of life
I am a poet, a writer of verse.
I love the moorland
love Chopin's music
the flight of the bee
and the shepherd's purse.

My nights have been wonderful nights
my fears the Lord has quickly reversed.
I love the rainbow
to dance upon it
with pretty steps
so well rehearsed.

My life has been a beautiful life
I've never hungered or known real strife.
I love the mountains
love Handel's music
and each new dawn
is as the first.
