Each Year They Were Together... - Poem by Jacques du Lumerie

Each year they were together,
They loved each other
More and more
Until one day they both began
To share the same body.

We tried to find out
Where she was gone,
There was even talk
Of charging him with murder,
But it was soon realised
That she was still there inside him.
Constantly making love with his soul.
